Where dolphins come to play
Explore the Waters of Geographe Bay and Cape Naturaliste
At Dundee Marine Charters, we believe the best wildlife encounters happen away from the crowds. With a maximum of just 10 guests on board, every tour offers a relaxed, immersive experience led by an experienced local skipper with decades spent on the water.
From the awe-inspiring migration of Humpback, Blue Whales and Southern Right whales to playful dolphins, seals and abundant seabirds, every journey reveals something extraordinary. Along the way, you'll discover the spectacular coastline near the popular town of Dunsborough - the pristine waters of Meelup Regional Park and the rich natural and cultural history of one of Western Australia's most beautiful marine environments.
Whether you're joining us for a whale watching adventure, eco tour, private charter or sunset cruise, our family-run business is dedicated to sharing the wildlife, landscapes and stories that make this region so special.
Come aboard and experience nature at its most unforgettable.

Quick Facts about our Tours
Where do we operate?
We run our tours based on the seasons, the weather and maximising the opportunity for you to enjoy the waters and wildlife around Dunsborough and Cape Naturaliste. This includes Geographe Bay, Castle Rock, Meelup Beach, Eagle Bay, Bunker Bay and around the Cape Natualiste coastine, such as Sugarloaf Rock. We know the area like the back of our hand - trust us to make sure you see something special whenever you book.
Are the tours suitable for children?
For the safety and enjoyment of all of our guests, our tours are suitable for families with children of 10 years of age or older.
When is the whale watching season?
Most local whale sightings occur from September to November each year. Humpback whales come as close as 50 - 100 metres from the shore, while the Southern Right and Blue Whales are further out, which is why it's great to join us by boat! Dundee, your Skipper, is a wealth of knowledge about each of the species, their habits and ecology.
What is provided and what do you need to bring?
We provide drinking water, tea and coffee and wet weather jackets. Please BYO water bottle, hat, sunscreen, camera and an adventurous spirit.
